So last week I started these new devotionals that were given to those who are going on this mission trip to Mexico with Go Inc. and Amor Ministries (check them out!), and following each one it asks us to essentially journal about what we’ve read, so I’d like to start sharing mine as much as possible. Today I read Romans 5, and it’s really special because it talks about some crucial doctrines of the Christian faith; it’s basically a whole chapter rededicating the Good News/ John 3:16— That because of the love God has for all His people, He sent His Son to die and shed His blood for us so that we could be forever reconciled with Him, and that should bring us SO MUCH joy and hope to all who believe; so much, that we should be rejoicing every second of everyday forevermore, because each waking moment is a gift from God! And no one’s perfect at this; I complain about many various things almost everyday, and I need to control that. SO, we should not just be doing this by our words, but by our actions, thoughts, and attitudes, all day long. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” :]
